                               The Platinum Mines.
Platinum is usually found in deposits, of course, small grains, dust and small nuggets of an average of 50-75% purity. Small amounts of it were acquired from-Other mining and quarrying. Mines in North America are primarily mining platinum palladium, with a small percentage of metal production. It takes about 10 tons of raw platinum ore to produce one ounce of pure platinum.
